Dionisiou Beach

Dionisiou Beach, or Παραλία Διονυσίου, is a tranquil seaside village located on the west coast of the Halkidiki region in Greece. It was established in 1964 by residents of the old village of Dionisiou, which was founded in 1922 by refugees from Constantinople. The beach itself spans the length of the village and has a sandy shoreline interspersed with pebbly areas. The entrance to the sea is broad and flat, with a combination of sandy and pebbly sea bed, which makes it an ideal destination for families with children. However, some visitors might find the pebbly sea bed less suitable for young children. Despite this, the beach is not usually crowded, providing a peaceful atmosphere for visitors seeking relaxation and tranquility. The water at Dionisiou Beach, while not crystal clear, is clean, and the beach is well-maintained. The beach is open to everyone, and visitors have the option to bring their own beach equipment. In addition, beach bars are available where visitors can buy drinks and use sunbeds and umbrellas for free. These bars also provide facilities such as toilets, changing cabins, and showers. The village offers a variety of amenities, including a selection of restaurants. A play area with cars and toys is also available for children. For those who prefer a quiet stroll, a promenade runs alongside the beach, where visitors can enjoy the vibrant colors and scents of local flowers. In terms of accessibility, Dionisiou Beach is conveniently located, being just 30 minutes away from Thessaloniki International Airport. There is also some space available for parking in the village.
