Divna Beach, also known as Donja Vrućica, is a picturesque beach situated in a bay on the northern side of the Pelješac peninsula in Croatia. The beach also offers a stunning view of the Makarska riviera, the large Biokovo mountain, and the tip of Hvar island.
The beach is known for its combination of fine, clean sand and pebbles, and a gentle slope into the sea, making it suitable for families with children. It is also characterized by a small island located in front of the beach which can be reached by swimming. The beach is spacious and becomes increasingly popular during peak season, hence it can get crowded.
Divna Beach offers amenities such as a café bar/drinks stand and a restaurant/snack bar. There is also a small bar on the beach for refreshments. However, it's worth noting that there is no shop on the beach. The beach is surrounded by a campsite and a few houses, providing accommodation options for visitors.
The beach is accessible via a well-maintained asphalt road, sufficient for normal two-way traffic. This road leads to the beach and the nearby camp. Visitors can access the beach via stairs, thereby avoiding the camp. During peak season, parking can be challenging due to limited spots available on the road and the small free parking lot.
While the beach offers some natural shade from a few tamarisk trees, most parts of the beach are exposed to the sun. Therefore, it's recommended for visitors to bring a sun umbrella and use sunscreen to avoid sunburn. Snorkeling is also possible near the beach, but there are no public showers available.
