Plage d'Olzo

Plage d'Olzo is a public beach located in the resort town of Saint-Florent, Corsica. It lies to the north of the resort, extending approximately 300 meters and connecting to the southern Tettola Beach. Despite being less known, it attracts visitors during the summer due to its proximity to local tourist facilities. The natural characteristics of Plage d'Olzo include its fine sandy surface and the presence of seaweed. The beach is blessed with a remarkably blue sea, which, however, can occasionally be tainted with waste brought in by the currents. The beach has a number of trees that provide shade, making it a comfortable spot for visitors. The beach provides several amenities for its visitors. Parking at Plage d'Olzo is feasible but limited. There is a small free parking lot at the left end of the beach, and a larger parking area can be found by following signs for the Tettola Beach. Alternatively, street or dirt parking is also possible. To get to Plage d'Olzo, visitors can take the D81 road towards Cap Corse (Tettola) for about 1.5 km and then make a left turn at Domaine Gentille, a vineyard. The beach is not usually crowded and is easily accessible from multiple points, making it a practical choice for families and children due to its shallow waters and proximity to the town. However, visitors should be vigilant of their belongings due to occasional reports of theft. Additionally, the beach is known for its strong winds, which might be a factor for some visitors to consider.
