Cala Domingos

Cala Domingos, otherwise known as Es Domingos Grans, is a picturesque beach located in Manacor, in the heart of the island of Mallorca. Positioned as the largest beach in a double bay, it's surrounded by lush shrubs and is conveniently located near several large hotels. This beach is known for its clean, warm waters and natural beauty, which is further accentuated by a scenic path along the cliffs that leads to it.

The beach stretches 125m x 190m and is easily accessible by foot, car, boat, or public transportation. However, the sea at Cala Domingos can sometimes be wavy, which not only provides an opportunity for exciting water activities but also occasionally poses challenges for families with young children.

Cala Domingos is well-equipped with essential amenities. Visitors can avail of rental sunbeds, showers, and a restaurant/bar. Additionally, lifeguards are present for safety. However, it's worth noting that while there are no public toilets directly on the beach, facilities are available at a nearby beach club bar for a fee. The beach also has a parking facility, although it lacks a promenade.

Visitors should be aware that dogs and nudism are not permitted at Cala Domingos. The beach tends to get crowded, particularly around 10 AM, likely due to its popularity and the proximity of three hotels. As such, it's advisable for visitors to arrive early to secure a spot.

Apart from the amenities and the beach itself, Cala Domingos also offers a hiking route that allows for beautiful walks along the coast and to the end of the town. Moreover, it serves as a stop for excursion boats, making it a well-rounded destination for both relaxation and exploration.
