Plage de Cala d'Orzu

The Plage de Cala d'Orzu is a picturesque beach situated in Coti-Chiavari, on the island of Corsica. It is renowned for its natural beauty, characterized by its fine, white sand and warm, turquoise waters. The beach is nestled between two capes, Capo di Muro and Capo Nero, with two towers overseeing these points, enhancing the scenic appeal of the area. Despite its beauty, the beach is not typically crowded, providing a more secluded and peaceful experience for visitors. This makes it an ideal location for relaxation and snorkeling, thanks to its clear waters. The Plage de Cala d'Orzu is accessible to everyone, albeit with some difficulty. Visitors can reach the beach by car, though the path involves a steep, non-asphalt road that can be challenging for some vehicles. Small cars are particularly suited for this journey, and a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Alternatively, visitors can access the beach by boat, with some opting for a short walk over rocks from the south of the beach, for which suitable footwear is advised. Upon arrival, visitors can make use of free parking facilities, although the road leading to the parking area can be difficult to navigate. For convenience, there are three beach huts available on site. However, visitors are advised to be cautious of potential jellyfish in the bay during the month of September.
