Dubac Beach is a splendid sandy beach nestled in the village of Lopar on the island of Rab, Croatia. Lopar is renowned for its numerous natural sandy beaches, with Dubac Beach being one of them. The island of Rab is a part of the Kvarner archipelago and is fairly accessible from major cities such as Rijeka, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Vienna, Munich, and Milan.
The beach is distinguished by its stunning views, clear waters, and the tranquility that embraces it. The surrounding trees provide ample shade, adding to the natural allure of the beach. The waters of Dubac Beach are shallow, making it safe for non-swimmers. Despite attracting a good number of visitors, the beach's spaciousness ensures it never feels overcrowded.
Getting to Dubac Beach can be achieved via several routes. One option is a ferry ride from Stinica to Mišnjak, a trip that lasts approximately ten minutes. Another popular route for guests is the ferry from Valbiska on the island of Krk to Lopar, due to its closeness to Rijeka and its airport. This journey takes about 80 minutes. Additionally, a catamaran service from Rijeka to Lopar is available, taking around an hour and 45 minutes.
Upon reaching Lopar, the beach can be accessed by both foot and boat. The footpath from the parking area to the beach is a 16-minute walk over rocky terrain, while boats can be rented from various locations in Livacina.
Despite its natural beauty, Dubac Beach is rather minimalistic when it comes to amenities. There are no toilets or bars available on the beach, with only a few garbage cans present. However, the lack of facilities does not detract from the beach's charm; its warm waters and pristine sandy shore make it a delightful destination for beachgoers.
