Dundowran Beach

Dundowran Beach is a picturesque beach located on the Fraser Coast. It is known for its tranquility, making it one of the quietest beaches in the area. The beach offers a magical experience, especially when walking towards the North West to the northern creek. Dundowran Beach is also a popular spot for swimming, being considered one of the better swimming beaches around Hervey Bay. However, it should be noted that during low tide, the water recedes over 500 metres, leaving lots of ankle-high water for dogs or smaller children to run and splash around. This makes it less ideal for those looking to take their kids for a swim and splash in the waves. The beach is also great for walks, particularly when the tide is out. It is dog-friendly, allowing dog owners to enjoy a walk with their pets without other dogs being in close proximity. Additionally, it is also horse-friendly, adding to its unique charm. Despite its many offerings, Dundowran Beach maintains a lovely feel, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Fraser Coast.
