Playa El Portillu

Playa El Portillu, also known as San Martín beach, is a charming and picturesque beach located in Llanes, Spain. The beach is known for its good waves, making it a popular spot for wave enthusiasts. It is accessible from either Llanes or Celorio, with a coastal path connecting the two towns. This walk is highly recommended for its scenic beauty. The beach is characterized by a large sandy area that reveals itself at low tide. This low tide also allows access to the neighboring beaches on the right. The beach is adorned with caves and wonderful corners, adding to its natural allure. At the entrance of the beach, next to the access stairs, visitors can find a wooden table with seats, providing a place to rest and enjoy the view. During the high season, when the lifeguard service begins, the access of animals is prohibited. This rule applies to all beaches in Llanes, regardless of whether they have a lifeguard or not. Outside of the high season, from mid-September to the end of June, dogs are allowed on the beach. Visitors are urged to respect the environment and maintain the cleanliness and natural beauty of the beach.
