Plage de Figari

Plage de Figari is a secluded beach located near the small village of Pianottoli-Caldarello in the Corse-du-Sud department of southwest Corsica, France. The village is in close proximity to Figari and is nestled in one of the oldest wine regions of Corsica. It is situated on the west of Figari Bay, on the route to Sartène, and is a mere 20 minutes away from Bonifacio.

The beach is known for its beautiful coral reefs and is surrounded by splendid coves. It is characterized by its wide variety of Mediterranean or endemic vegetation, which forms a back scrub around the beach. The beach is easily accessible via a well-maintained path.

Plage de Figari is a haven for windsurfing and kitesurfing beginners, owing to its geographical features. Despite having a swamp-like sea floor, the underwater world is intriguing and worth exploring. However, visitors are advised to exercise caution when entering the water.

The beach is typically uncrowded, offering a peaceful and serene environment for beach-goers. The tranquility of the beach is further enhanced when moving away from the main beach area. The village of Pianottoli-Caldarello itself is characterized by troglodytic houses made of granite, adding to the charm of the area.
