Freshwater Bay

Freshwater Bay is a beautiful beach located just 10 minutes from the Needles. The bay is known for its clean water, making it an ideal spot for swimming. The water at Freshwater Bay is never contaminated, and there is no current, although it can be a bit difficult to get out on a wavy day for those with restricted mobility. The beach is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, adding to its charm. Visitors can enjoy the waves and the satisfying sound of the stones while soaking up the sun. It's recommended to bring some snacks, as the food options on the beach are limited. Parking is conveniently available just across the road with pay and display options. Free street parking can also be found with a bit of a walk. The beach is not typically overcrowded, but it can get busy during midday depending on the weather. There are several amenities near the beach, including a coffee shop within the RNLI when open, and a variety of cafes for a post-swim mocha and biscuits. There's also entertainment on the green when the weather is better. A car park is located right next door for convenience.
