Great Sand Beach

Great Sand Beach, despite its name, is not a sandy beach. It is known for its natural beauty, characterized by intense green waters and colorful little stones. The beach is somewhat isolated and quiet, often described as one of the most beautiful on the island. However, access to the beach can be challenging. It requires careful driving on a narrow dirt road, and the final stretch of the journey may need to be completed on foot. There is no designated parking area, and visitors often have to park their cars on private property nearby.

Once at the beach, visitors can enjoy the tranquility as it is typically not crowded. Some visitors have reported the presence of sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as the availability of coffee and water. However, it is generally recommended to bring your own amenities, including food and drinks, as the beach is largely undeveloped with no shops or taverns in the vicinity.
