Gusmay Beach, also known as Spiaggia di Gusmay, is located in the town of Peschici within the Puglia region of Italy. It is a picturesque sandy bay nestled along the tip of Gargano and is approximately 9 kilometers from Peschici and about 14 kilometers from Vieste. The beach is also situated near the scenic Parco Nazionale del Gargano.
Gusmay Beach is characterized by its golden sandy shore that stretches for 200 meters. The beach is surrounded by a lush pine forest and medium-height cliffs covered in greenery, adding to its tranquility. At both ends of the beach, there are rocky points adorned with vegetation, featuring a coastal tower and an ancient wooden fishing machine known as a trabucco, which serves as a tourist attraction.
The sea at Gusmay Beach is a stunning blend of emerald green and turquoise, with a gently sloping sandy seabed that makes it ideal for families with children and less experienced swimmers. The clear and transparent waters further enhance the beach's appeal.
Despite its natural beauty, Gusmay Beach is a private beach reserved exclusively for guests of certain resort accommodation facilities. This exclusivity contributes to maintaining its serenity and cleanliness, for which it has been internationally recognized with the Blue Flag award.
To get to Gusmay Beach, one can take the provincial road 52, Peschici - Vieste, heading towards the Gusmay resort. Please note that the journey from Peschici to the beach could take approximately ten minutes to a quarter of an hour, and from Vieste, it could take about half an hour.
The beach also features amenities such as a bar and a restaurant. However, access to the beach can be challenging due to limited entrances, and it is recommended to visit outside the tourist season for the best experience. Parking information for Gusmay Beach is not available.
