Horseshoe Bay Beach

Horseshoe Bay Beach is a picturesque beach located near Bowen. It is accessible via the esplanade footpath and is known for its tranquility, even during school holidays. The beach is characterized by its sandy shores and hidden rock pools. It also offers a unique snorkeling experience with a variety of fish and bright blue coral life just meters away on both sides of the bay. However, the water conditions can vary, with the water sometimes being choppy and full of churned up seaweed.

The beach has seen several improvements over the years, including the addition of a ramp for wheelchair accessibility and toilets with changing rooms. Despite these enhancements, parking at the beach is minimal. Visitors are advised to be prepared for stinger warnings, particularly in certain seasons. There is also a cafe nearby for visitors to enjoy local fresh produce.
