Isola Bella

Isola Bella is a picturesque beach located in Taormina. The beach is known for its clear water, stones, and a small island that adds to its natural beauty. The island was a private property until 1992, when it was purchased by the government and turned into a nature preserve. The beach offers a refreshing spot for visitors, with the opportunity to wash feet in the chill water. The island also features interesting architecture and provides a good view over the beach. However, it's worth noting that more than half of the island is off limits, with most of the walkways and stairways blocked off. The beach tends to get busy, especially during hot days, so it's recommended to visit earlier in the day for a less crowded experience. There is an entrance fee to access the island, which varies but is generally around 4-5 Euros. Despite some parts of the island being closed, visitors find it worth the price for its unique and tranquil beauty.
