Karaburun Bodrum Plaji is a small, stony beach situated on a peninsula in Turkey. Known for its clean sea, it has been recognized for its cleanliness with the Blue Flag award continuously from 2014 to 2023. The sea is home to a variety of colorful fish, making it a popular spot for swimming and recreational activities. The water is neither overly hot nor cold, although it is slightly cooler than the nearby Boyabağı beach. Due to the presence of small stones, visitors are advised to wear sea shoes for the initial steps into the sea.
The beach itself is 200 meters long and 10 meters wide, offering both sandy and pebble areas. There are no platforms, either wooden or concrete, on the beach. Despite being a public beach with direct access to the sea, it lacks specific facilities for disabled individuals, although there is a disabled toilet available.
Karaburun Bodrum Plaji is a peaceful and friendly spot, providing relaxation for both the body and mind. While there are no luxury facilities, visitors can find basic amenities such as changing rooms provided by the municipality and nearby cafes offer fast food and beer. These cafes also provide rental services for umbrellas and beach chairs. However, it should be noted that there are no public showers available at the beach.
The beach is easily accessible, being just 120 km away from the nearest airport and 1 km from the city center. It can be reached by public transportation, with a travel time of just 5 minutes from the city center. Despite some recent changes in local governance, the beach continues to maintain the necessary facilities for visitors.
