Kemp Beach

Kemp Beach is a beautiful and tranquil destination, perfect for a day trip or a quiet retreat. The beach is known for its distinctive turquoise water, contrasting with the surrounding headland. A unique feature of Kemp Beach is its 'sand', which mostly consists of tiny shells. The beach's slope into the water is not as shallow as the beaches to its north and south, making it an excellent spot for swimming. The beach is also home to a small island on top of Bluff Rock Reef, adding to its charm and natural beauty. For those who enjoy walking, there are decent walks at both ends of the beach. The southern end features a walk through Capricorn Coast National Park, offering great lookouts to the North and South. The Northern end is the Double Head section of the same park. Several walkways lead down onto the beach along its length, with beach showers available in several places. Kemp Beach is a family-friendly location, suitable for both little ones and dogs (on lead). It is also equipped with toilet and barbecue facilities for visitors' convenience. There are two shops nearby where visitors can purchase refreshments, and the beach is close to Rosslyn Marina.
