Keri Beach

Keri Beach is a small, picturesque beach known for its stunning views and unique natural characteristics. It is located near a city port, adding a charming nautical ambiance to the area. The beach is not typically crowded, providing a peaceful and serene environment for visitors. However, it can get busier during peak times and weekends. The beach features a mix of white rounded stones and fine sand, creating a distinctive sound as the calm waves lap against them. The stones extend about a meter into the water, after which it transitions into pure, warm sand. The sea is shallow for a good distance from the shore, making it safe for children. The water is clear and clean, offering excellent conditions for snorkeling. Visitors can expect to see small fish close to the shore and larger ones further out, along with other marine creatures such as crabs and octopuses. Keri Beach is also home to a large tree near the shore that provides ample shade, a welcome respite during the hot summer months. However, some parts of the beach can be a bit pebbly. Visitors can rent sunbeds and umbrellas for a comfortable beach experience. There is also a small shop halfway down the beach for refreshments. The beach is easily accessible and offers a range of amenities, including a good selection of restaurants with sea views. Despite its proximity to the city port, the beach maintains a quiet atmosphere as the boats keep a safe distance from the swimming areas and are not overly noisy. However, visitors should be aware that the proximity to the port can sometimes result in pollution, as indicated on a notice board at the beach.
