Playa Las Rocas

Playa Las Rocas is a spectacular beach located on the west side of Cozumel. It is known for its clear and beautiful water, making it a great spot for swimming. However, the beach lacks a reef or coral, resulting in very few fish, which may not make it the ideal location for snorkeling enthusiasts. It is particularly popular due to its free access, making it a unique feature on the west side of Cozumel. Parking is available in a lay-by, providing easy access for visitors. The beach is also accessible from the north side of Centro, adding to its convenience. Despite its popularity, Playa Las Rocas is often described as a peaceful beach, providing a quiet retreat for visitors. However, it can get crowded at times, particularly in small sections of the beach. The first ten feet into the water is rocky, but visitors can swim out quite a distance while still being able to touch the bottom. The beach offers basic amenities, including food and drinks at reasonable prices. One unique feature is a trampoline inside the water, adding to the fun and enjoyment of visitors. However, ordering drinks has to be done at the beach side, not the bar. In terms of natural characteristics, the beach is known for its white sands and sun, making it a perfect spot for relaxation. Umbrellas are available for shade, although they are often secured with tape, as are some of the chairs.
