Playa de las Tres Piedras

Playa de las Tres Piedras, also known as La Ballena, is a picturesque beach located in the southern region of Chipiona, a municipality in the province of Cádiz, Spain. This coastal stretch is adjacent to the Rota-Chipiona road, providing direct access to the beach. The beach spans an impressive length of 2,585 meters, characterized by its sandy bottom and calm, swim-friendly waters. The beach derives its name, "Tres Piedras," from a reef within its vicinity, which is a noteworthy feature of this coastal region. Another significant natural element is the chain of embryonic dunes adjacent to the beach. These dunes serve as a sanctuary for a multitude of birds migrating across the Strait of Gibraltar. Playa de las Tres Piedras is well-equipped with amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable beach experience for visitors. These include lifeguard modules, accessible toilets for people with disabilities, and an information point with a public address system. The beach is also home to several bars and restaurants, making it an ideal destination for families. During the summer season, which spans from June 1st to September 30th, the beach offers additional services such as user assistance, hygiene services, healthcare, and beach surveillance. These services are also provided in a limited capacity from the Friday before Easter to October 12th, contingent on the number of beachgoers. Parking facilities are available for visitors to the beach. However, it's important to note that the beach and its facilities are closed during the month of December. The beach is also characterized by two access ramps located in the area known as La Ballena. Despite its vast expanse, Playa de las Tres Piedras is known for its tranquil ambiance, providing a relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The beach's serene environment, coupled with its abundant amenities and natural beauty, makes it a favorite among both locals and tourists.
