Les Platgetes

Les Platgetes is a charming beach situated in Moraira, a picturesque town located on Spain's eastern coast. It is comprised of two coves, one with golden sand and another with pebbles, linked by a rocky coastal area. The beach stretches out over 200 meters in length and is 20 meters wide. The beach is renowned for its crystal clear waters on calm days, offering an excellent environment for snorkeling. The water's clarity can be attributed to a combination of rocky areas, sandy bottoms, and seagrass meadows. The beach is also an excellent starting point for other water activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding. A ramp on the beach's western side facilitates launching small boats. A beautifully landscaped promenade connects the two coves. On the eastern end of this walkway, visitors can find a restaurant with a terrace that offers panoramic views of the sea. The promenade is an ideal place for a leisurely stroll, offering stunning views of the surrounding coves. In terms of amenities, Les Platgetes has ample parking spaces, including two spaces for disabled people near the beach access. The parking lot can accommodate up to 40 vehicles. However, it's advisable to arrive early during the summer to secure a parking spot. Additionally, the beach offers toilet facilities, which are available seasonally. Despite its popularity, Les Platgetes maintains a tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a relaxing beach experience. It is less crowded compared to Moraira's main beach, and the surrounding lush gardens and a small grassy park area with tables provide a serene and peaceful environment. This area is particularly popular with locals who enjoy spending time with their families under the shade of the trees.
