Spiaggia Maganuco is a picturesque beach located in the town of Modica in the southeastern region of Sicily, Italy. It is nestled along the southern coast, approximately 37 km from Ragusa and only a short distance from the port of Pozzallo. The beach is renowned for its wide sandy shoreline that spans about 500 meters and is surrounded by tall sand dunes, lush vegetation and cliffs, adding to its stunning natural beauty. The beach is also known for its clear turquoise sea, which has gently sloping seabeds, making it suitable for families with children. The beach is easily accessible by following the SP 66 road from Pozzallo towards Marina di Modica for about 5 km. After passing the port, visitors can turn right and pass under the overpass that leads to the beach. A parking area is provided for the convenience of visitors. Despite its popularity, the beach maintains its quiet and serene atmosphere, attracting a lot of people only during summer weekends.
While the beach is a beautiful and tranquil location, visitors should be aware of the presence of mosquitoes after sunset and occasional strong winds that may affect swimming conditions. However, these factors do not diminish the overall appeal of Spiaggia Maganuco as a great vacation spot.
