Main Beach

Main Beach is a pristine stretch of sandy coastline located at the northern end of the Gold Coast. It is named as such because it was the main surf beach to the town of Southport. The beach is known for its crystal clear waters and is well-maintained, making it a paradise for beach lovers. It stretches 2km from Narrow Neck at the northern edge of Surfers Paradise through to The Spit in the north. The beach is easily accessible, with a 40 minute walk along the beach from Southport Spit to The Spit. It is also in close proximity to various amenities, with Tedder Avenue just a few minutes away. Main Beach offers a variety of activities for visitors, from simply watching the water and listening to the sounds of the waves to more active pursuits like surfing. Despite the variety of activities available, the beach maintains a peaceful atmosphere where visitors can forget the rest of the world. The beach is also family friendly, with clean toilets available for use. Parking is plentiful in the city, although most are paid parking spots. Regardless of the weather, visitors are drawn to the beauty of the beach and often take walks along the coastline.
