Man Sands

Man Sands is a stunning beach located near Brixham, accessible via a somewhat steep and uneven track from the car park or coastal paths. The beach is known for its natural beauty, featuring interesting stones and rocks across a partly sandy beach. A unique characteristic of Man Sands is a bird lake that overflows across the beach to the sea, creating a clear water stream at times. The beach is also adjacent to a nature reserve where one can spot a variety of birds such as Canada geese, heron, blackback gull, tern, fulmar, mallard, moorhen, and curlew. Despite its proximity to Brixham, about an hour's walk, Man Sands is surprisingly quiet and secluded, making it a great place to relax and meditate. However, visitors should note that there are no amenities on the beach, so it's important to bring any necessary supplies. The beach is also quite pebbly with lots of rocks, providing opportunities for rock pooling. The walk down to the beach from the car park offers amazing views, though it can be steep and uneven in places.
