The beach's natural characteristics include a sandy, clean shoreline with a soft sand bottom, devoid of rocks. The water at Marathias Beach is shallow and typically waveless, making it an excellent choice for families with children. However, the water quality may vary, with some reports of it being dirty or foamy. Access to Marathias Beach can be challenging due to the poor condition of the road leading to it. It is recommended for visitors to use a bike or a 4x4 vehicle, or any vehicle with good ground clearance, to reach the beach. Despite its natural beauty, Marathias Beach is unmanaged and lacks amenities such as showers or beach bars. Additionally, parking may be limited due to the space being occupied by locals' tents. It's important to note that the beach's condition may improve during high tide.
