Plage de Menasina is a picturesque sandy cove situated on the west coast of Corsica, to the south of the town of Cargèse. The beach, nestled between rocks on both sides, extends for approximately 200 meters and is characterized by turquoise waters and fine sand that stretches up to a meter towards the water's edge. The beach also features rocky sections, which are ideal for diving and provide an entertaining diversion for children. The crystal-clear waters provide a habitat for a variety of fish, further enhancing the natural beauty of the area.
The beach is accessed via a footpath, which requires a walk of about 10 minutes from the parking area. This walk, through a forest path, descends unevenly downhill, providing a scenic route to the beach. The parking area is located about 400 meters from the beach, and visitors must park their vehicles on the side of the road before embarking on the walk.
Plage de Menasina is not a well-known beach, and it is primarily frequented by vacationers staying in nearby residences. It offers a tranquil setting and a magnificent view of the marine area of Cargèse. However, it's important to note that the beach is unsupervised and swimming can be potentially hazardous during rough seas.
To reach Plage de Menasina from the center of Cargèse, visitors must take the D81 road towards Sagone for approximately three kilometers. The beach is located on the right, just after the Ityon residence.
During the summer months, a beach hut provides the rental of beach mattresses, adding to the convenience for beachgoers. The beach is also suitable for sailing activities, providing further recreational opportunities for visitors. Despite its secluded location, Plage de Menasina offers a paradise-like setting, making it an ideal location for those seeking a quiet and serene beach experience.
