Mill Bay

Mill Bay is a picturesque beach located in the South West of England. It is accessible via a pedestrian ferry from Salcombe, a nearby town. The beach is also reachable by car, though the access road is a narrow, single-lane track. There is a car park a few steps from the beach, but it tends to fill up quickly due to its limited capacity. The beach is known for its beautiful ocean views and sandy beaches. The sand at Mill Bay is particularly fine, making it ideal for building sand castles. The sea is clear and the beach is clean and golden, adding to the overall appeal of the location. Mill Bay is also a starting point for a scenic walk along the South West Coast Path, which leads out to Gara Rock and loops back on an inland public path. This walk is approximately five miles long and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. Despite its natural beauty, Mill Bay can get quite busy, especially during peak hours. Visitors are advised to arrive early, preferably before 10 am, to secure a parking spot and enjoy the beach before it gets crowded. In terms of amenities, Mill Bay offers good toilet facilities. There is also a small caravan on site that serves coffee and crepes.
