Mirtia Beach

Mirtia Beach is a highly regarded beach located on the island of Kalamos. It is approximately 1.8 kilometers from Kalamos port, which equates to around a 20-minute walk. The beach is known for its impressive natural characteristics, including clear, crystal waters and an abundance of trees. Despite its popularity, particularly during the months of July and August when it can become very populated, Mirtia Beach maintains a sense of untouched beauty as there are no beach bars or other infrastructure present. This lack of amenities means visitors are advised to bring their own supplies, such as water and umbrellas, as there is limited shade available. Access to the beach is possible either by a dirt road or on foot. It is a place cherished by both campers and swimmers, who are encouraged to respect and protect the beach to preserve its natural beauty.
