Monks Bay

Monks Bay is a small, gravel beach located along a coastal path. The beach is known for its natural beauty and tranquility, even during the high season. It is particularly popular among dog owners due to its pet-friendly environment. The beach features rock pools that can be explored during low tide, although it is noted for having a significant amount of seaweed. The beach is accessible by foot, with a concrete path leading to the beach for a couple of hundred yards before transitioning to a rocky terrain. Visitors are advised to park their vehicles in the paid parking area located just up the road from the beach, as there is no parking available on the seafront. In terms of amenities, Monks Bay offers a public toilet block maintained by volunteers. However, there are no other significant facilities or establishments in the immediate vicinity of the beach.
