Na Patana

Na Patana, also known as Son Bauló, is a picturesque beach situated in the protected area of Son Real in Can Picafort, on the northeastern coast of Mallorca. The beach is approximately 10 km from Port d'Alcúdia and 52 km from Palma. The beach is also in close proximity to Son Bauló, situated only 300 meters away along the coastline.

The beach is characterized by its golden sand, beautiful sea water, and natural surroundings. It is nestled between mountains, adding to its scenic beauty. The beach is part of the Son Real protected area, which includes multiple beaches spanning a 3 km stretch of coastline.

One of the unique aspects of Na Patana is that it is a dog-friendly beach. Dogs are permitted to run freely on the beach, making it a popular choice among pet owners. Despite this, the beach is not usually crowded. It is advised, however, to visit the beach before 10:30 am if a more tranquil atmosphere is desired, as the beach tends to get busier by late morning.

Na Patana is a mixed terrain beach, containing both sandy and rocky areas. It is recommended that beachgoers enter the water from the center of the beach to avoid the rocky parts. Visitors may also find beach-rock-shoes useful due to the rocky terrain in the water.

Despite its beauty, Na Patana lacks amenities and services. There are no water activities, sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, lifeguards, or disabled access available at the beach. There is also no beach bar on-site, with the nearest one located in Can Picafort, approximately 400 meters away.

In terms of accessibility, Na Patana is easily reachable. There is public transportation available near the beach, and parking is available 600 meters from the beach. The beach is regularly cleaned, although there may be areas with seaweed at times. Visitors are advised to come prepared, as the beach lacks amenities and services.
