This beach is recognized for its unique dark sand and pebbles, a result of residues from the nearby Canari quarry which was operational till 1965 and disposed its asbestos waste into the sea. The beach boasts of a beautiful landscape with a small crescent of sand and pebbles, and clear shallow waters that display a striking blue hue.
