Plage de Nonza is a picturesque beach situated on the northern coastline of Corsica. The beach's natural allure is further enhanced by the surrounding green hills. One of the unique aspects of Plage de Nonza is that it is not usually crowded, even during peak times of the year such as August. This could be attributed to the presence of a former asbestos mine in the vicinity, which has raised some safety concerns, although there are no warning signs posted at the beach suggesting any potential hazard. Visitors to Plage de Nonza should be prepared for a lack of amenities on the beach. There are no facilities available, so visitors are advised to bring everything they need for their visit. Another point to note is the disused asbestos mine at the northern end of the beach, which occasionally causes the water to appear clouded with dust. The beach is conveniently accessible from the nearby village of Nonza, which is also recommended for a visit. However, visitors should be prepared for a 15-minute walk to reach the beach, as there is no immediate parking available. There is a small car park located on the north side of the beach, but the path from there to the beach is somewhat rugged and not suitable for pushchairs. Despite these challenges, the remarkable landscape and serene ambiance of Plage de Nonza make it a worthwhile destination.
