Public toilets are also available for visitors' convenience, open 24 hours from Easter to the end of October, and on weekends only for the rest of the year. A promenade offers a pleasant walking route, with beautiful views of the sea. The beach is also a popular starting point for a scenic walk to Cromer. The beach is generally spacious, providing plenty of room for visitors to enjoy. It is a popular spot for dog walks and for children to run around. Despite its popularity, the beach maintains a pleasant atmosphere, and is not typically overcrowded. Amenities at Overstrand Beach include a cliff top café serving food and drink, and a hut offering fresh crab and lobster. An ice cream van is often parked in the car park, providing a welcome treat for beachgoers.
