Playa ParaĆso is a picturesque beach located in the coastal town of Tulum, within the famed Riviera Maya region. Known for its natural beauty, the beach is situated within a reserve and is frequented by locals and tourists alike for its clear waters and stunning views. However, visitors should note that the shoreline can accumulate a considerable amount of seaweed, especially during certain seasons, and remnants of algae may be present in the water.
While the beach itself does not offer natural shade, the adjacent beach club provides various amenities for visitors. These include restrooms, showers, and the option to rent lounge chairs. Visitors who choose to rent sunbeds from the club also benefit from complimentary parking. However, those arriving by car who do not utilize this service will need to pay a parking fee. Additionally, an entrance fee is required to access the beach area within the reserve.
Access to Playa ParaĆso can be somewhat difficult due to intermittent road closures for construction work. A common route to the beach involves passing through the entrance to the Tulum Ruins and continuing straight past the main entrance. Despite these potential obstacles, the beach tends to be quite busy, especially on specific days of the week. To secure a spot, it is recommended that visitors arrive early.
In addition to the beach, Playa ParaĆso is also known for its golf club. Designed by P.B. Dye, the golf course is acclaimed for its scenic surroundings, which encompass lush jungle vegetation and renowned archaeological sites. The club has been the venue for prestigious events such as the World Amateur Team Championships and the Bupa Match Play ā PGA Tour LatinoamĆ©rica. Catering to golfers of all skill levels, the club offers several starting points and a variety of green fee packages.
