Paralia Kiatou

Paralia Kiatou is a renowned beach located in Greece, specifically in the city of Corinth. It is recognized as one of the most idyllic city beaches in the country and is particularly notable in the Gulf of Corinth. The beach extends over a long coastline, starting from the estuary of Asopos in the east, up to and beyond the estuary of Seliandros in the west. This expansive stretch of coast, approximately eight kilometers in length, offers a diverse range of landscapes and experiences. The beach is characterized by its clean, coarse pebbles and the absence of sand. Despite this, visitors have no trouble walking around, especially if equipped with flip-flops. The water at Paralia Kiatou is described as beautiful, albeit salty, with occasional seaweeds and medusas. Paralia Kiatou offers a variety of settings to suit every taste. These range from deserted beaches with reeds and pebbles, to small rocky harbors, a fishing shelter, and an urban beach. There is also a marina for tourist boats, four kilometers of organized coast, one kilometer free, and a picturesque area to the west of the city. The beach is well-equipped with amenities for visitors. These include umbrellas and sunbeds, which are provided free of charge, as well as changing rooms and showers. There are also numerous places to enjoy great coffee and food. Despite the high quality of these services, prices are described as reasonable and humane. The sun at Paralia Kiatou is noted to set a bit earlier due to the surrounding buildings. The beach can get crowded, particularly in areas with beach bars. However, the vastness of the coastline ensures that there are always quieter, less crowded spots to be found.
