Paralia Orkou

Paralia Orkou, also known as Lakkos, is a beautiful beach located on the island of Paxos. The beach is characterized by its stony terrain and clean waters, offering a unique and refreshing experience for beach-goers. A notable feature of the beach is a large rock in the sea, which provides an exciting opportunity for adventurous visitors to jump off into the water. The beach is surrounded by trees that provide shade in the afternoon, making it a comfortable spot for relaxation. The beach is accessible via a dirt road that leads down to the beach. The last few meters of the road are concrete and quite steep. Due to the challenging terrain, it is recommended to leave cars at a nearby village and walk about a kilometer to the beach. Alternatively, visitors can park their cars at a small parking space that can accommodate up to two cars and walk down for about 5-8 minutes. However, only scooters can go down to the end of the road. Despite its remote location, Paralia Orkou is close to the port of Lakka, making it easily accessible for those arriving by sea. The beach is not overly crowded, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for visitors. However, it should be noted that the road leading to the beach is not in the best condition, and parking spaces are limited.
