Paralia Paraporti

Paralia Paraporti is a notable beach located in Andros, close to the main town of Chora. The beach is known for its clear, warm water and sandy landscape, making it an excellent spot for swimming. The beach is not typically crowded, offering a less touristy experience for visitors. Despite its proximity to the town, it maintains a sense of tranquility and unspoiled natural beauty. One of the unique features of Paralia Paraporti is its view of the Turlitis lighthouse and a part of the town, which can be enjoyed while swimming or relaxing on the beach. In terms of amenities, Paralia Paraporti has a beach bar located at the edge of the beach, built into the cliff rock. The bar offers rental umbrellas and chairs for visitors, without occupying a large part of the beach. Additionally, there are changing rooms and showers available for beachgoers. However, the beach lacks natural shade, as there are not many trees in the area. Visitors should be aware that jellyfish have been spotted in the deeper waters of the beach, although their presence seems to be inconsistent.
