Paralia Pigadi is a picturesque village located within the Municipal Unit of Pteleos, which forms part of the Almyros Municipality in the Regional Unit of Magnesia, situated in the Thessaly region of Central Greece.
This serene location is renowned for its striking beach, characterized by its golden sands and crystal clear, calm waters, which remain placid even when other areas are subject to windier conditions. The beach is lined with sunbeds and umbrellas, spaced generously apart, making it an ideal destination for families, especially those with small children.
In addition to its natural beauty, Paralia Pigadi also boasts a range of amenities. The beach is bordered by olive trees that offer invaluable shade, particularly beneficial for families with babies. Despite not being an organized beach, shade from plane trees is available from midday onwards. There are also seaside taverns in the vicinity, offering visitors a chance to sample local cuisine.
Access to Paralia Pigadi beach is somewhat challenging, with a series of steps descending from the street above to the beach. Despite this, it remains a popular spot for swimming, attracting families and couples alike. Those who prefer to stay overnight will find it an ideal location. Adjacent to the beach, a hut and a path can be found, just a short 10-minute, 250-meter walk away. This area is organized and features a bar where visitors can enjoy food and beverages.
Regarding parking, the area has several parking lots where visitors can leave their vehicles. However, due to the beach's popularity, it can get crowded, especially during the peak summer months. Therefore, visitors are advised to arrive early to secure a good spot and avoid the crowds.
