Pineapple Beach

Pineapple Beach is a small island beach located near Fort Raleigh historic site. It is situated on the Southside of the William B. Umstead Bridge. The beach is known for its expansive skies, providing visitors with the opportunity to watch breathtaking sunsets over Croatan Sound. The beach has undergone a beautiful transformation and is well-maintained, making it a perfect spot to enjoy nature. It is always clean and is appreciated for the kindness that resonates there. The beach area is peaceful, offering a zen-like atmosphere, especially during sunsets. Pineapple Beach is equipped with a bench for watching the sunset, a garbage enclosure, and painted seashells, all donated by visitors and locals. It is a great spot for launching kayaks. However, it does not have any tables or a fish cleaning station. The beach does not allow overnight parking or camping. It is also not suitable for RVs due to its small size. Visitors are requested to curb their pets and pack out what they pack in. Nearby amenities include bathrooms available at the North End Park with its disc golf course, less than a quarter-mile away. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the beach and leave only footprints, contributing to the preservation of this beautiful natural spot.
