Platja del Brosquil is a tranquil beach situated in the municipality of Cullera, within the region of Valencia. It is recognized for its distinctive natural beauty, characterized by a combination of gravel and golden sand, and is bordered by an abundance of vegetation. The beach extends over a length of 2,200 meters and a width of approximately 30 meters, and is usually swept by moderate waves. Its natural charm is further accentuated by a unique low pine tree that provides natural shade and a dune landscape that contributes to its untouched appeal.
This semi-urban beach is not typically crowded, making it an ideal location for those seeking solitude and tranquility. It is also known as a dog-friendly beach, with a designated area where dogs are allowed, providing an enjoyable experience for pet owners. The Cullera city council has even established an Agility area for dogs, making it a perfect spot for dog lovers.
Despite its natural allure, Platja del Brosquil does not have amenities such as showers or toilets. Yet, many visitors find the serene atmosphere and the beach's natural charm sufficient to compensate for the lack of facilities. In terms of safety, a surveillance service is available during the summer season, operational from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Access to the beach is somewhat limited, with a parking area suitable for campers located at the entrance of the beach. Given the limited parking space, it is advisable for visitors to arrive early. There are no specific time restrictions for using the dog-friendly area during the summer, except during the beach cleaning hours which are from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
The beach is easily accessible by car, and despite its somewhat remote location, it continues to draw in nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat from the busyness of city life. The beach is subject to local rules and regulations set by the Cullera city council, which must be respected by all visitors.
Moreover, the beach is currently undergoing a regeneration project titled "Regeneración de la playa del Brosquil sur y La Goleta, tt.mm. de Cullera y Tavernes de la Valldigna (Valencia)", which has received approval from the Subdirectorate General for the Protection of the Coast. The project is being implemented by the Directorate General of the Coast and the Sea, under the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge.
