Platja de la Mora is a beach located in the southern region of Badalona, near Sant Adrià del Besòs, in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is an urban beach that is part of the extensive seafront of Badalona. The beach is set in an industrial landscape and is less frequented compared to the city beaches of Barcelona, offering a more tranquil environment for visitors.
The beach measures 585 meters in length and has a width of approximately 20 meters, while another source mentions a width of 14 meters. It is composed of medium-grain golden sand and has a slightly steep slope towards the sea, which has a sandy seabed. Despite its location in an industrial area, some visitors have noted that the sea water at Platja de la Mora is cleaner than in Barcelona.
Platja de la Mora offers a variety of amenities including showers, toilets, a first aid station, and lifeguard surveillance. However, it should be noted that some reports suggest that the beach lacks amenities, with no toilets or showers available for beachgoers. There is also a provision for nudism at this beach.
Parking facilities are available with an unpaved parking lot that can accommodate more than 100 vehicles. The beach is also accessible by public transportation, including the Urbano, BD-4, BD-7 buses, Renfe, and TRAMBesòs. It is less than a kilometer away from the Sant Adrià de Besòs train station and about 250 meters from the Trambesòs tram stop.
The beach can get crowded during the peak season, though it tends to be less packed compared to other beaches. The beach is bordered by a palm-lined promenade and is adjacent to the port of Badalona on one side, which features various nautical shops, bars, restaurants, and a sailing school.
