Playas de Berbes

Playas de Berbes, also referred to as Playa de Vega, is a semi-nude beach located in the region of Ribadesella, Asturias, Spain. The beach is well-known for its natural beauty, offering stunning views of the Cantabric Sea and the encircling cliffs. The beach is divided into several areas, including a section allocated for beach bars and a designated nudist area. The beach is particularly popular among surfers due to its ideal conditions for water sports. It also offers a variety of accommodation options such as bungalows and glamping facilities, and is situated approximately 400 meters away from a camping site named Camping Playa de Vega. Access to Playas de Berbes can be achieved through two routes. The first is a straightforward road that leads to the area near the beach bars, while the second is a dirt road and footpath that leads to the nudist area. However, visitors should note that vehicular access can be challenging due to the irregular and potholed road. Therefore, it is recommended to park at a distance and be prepared to walk to the beach. From the town of Berbes, a path descends to a couple of parking lots, from where a short walk of a few minutes leads to the beach. Parking facilities are provided at the beach, however, the fee may be considered somewhat high by some visitors. Playas de Berbes is characterized by its wide and clean beach, with areas marked for bathrooms, although there are no visible bathrooms on the beach. On the other hand, some amenities such as showers are available behind the restaurants near the beach. The beach is also framed by hills of rock and grass, which contribute to its natural charm. Despite its beauty and facilities, the beach is not overly crowded, making it an ideal destination for those seeking tranquility in a natural environment.
