Plitvine Beach, or PlaÅža Plitvine, is situated in Gradina, a picturesque location in Croatia that is well-known among tourists. The beach is nestled within a secluded bay, opposite the Vela Luka marina. It is part of a unique coastal trail that stretches along the shoreline, starting from the beach of Hotel Posejdon and ending at Gradina Bay. Further into Gradina, the trail takes a steep ascent to a small peninsula known as Glavica Sv. Ivana, a site of historical significance dating back to the 15th century. Originally built as an Illyrian fortress, it continued to hold importance during Roman times due to its strategic location on the western part of the island. Today, Glavica Sv. Ivana is a popular location for various activities such as weddings, photo sessions, yoga, and meditation. It also serves as the endpoint of a night trail event known as Mrkla strka. The trail is fully marked and is connected to a blue cycling path, enhancing the overall experience for visitors.
