Playa de Poo

Playa de Poo is a unique beach located near the town of Llanes. Its distinctive feature is the transformation into a natural saltwater pool during high tide, making it particularly suitable for children and non-swimmers. The shallow waters, warm temperature, and fun waves that roll in during high tide contribute to its appeal. A small path on the right side of the beach leads to small cliffs and several islets, including the Castro Pelado Islet and a group of four other islets further to the east, adding to the overall scenic beauty of the location. To reach Playa de Poo, visitors can walk from Llanes, either via the cliff path or the road. However, it is advisable to check the tide timings before planning a visit, as the beach becomes wide and full of algae during low tide.
