Reis Magos Beach, often referred to as Praia dos Reis Magos, is a quaint beach situated in Caniço, within the municipality of Santa Cruz. Known for its stunning natural surroundings and crystal clear waters, the beach is a popular spot among locals and tourists alike. The beach's unique feature is its pebble terrain, which is divided into three distinct sections, each providing a different swimming experience. One section is a traditional pebble beach area, furnished with umbrellas and wooden beds for visitors to lounge on. The middle section is enclosed, designed to create a calm and safe environment, making it perfect for families with small children. The final section of the beach opens out to the ocean, offering deeper waters for those seeking a more adventurous swim. Reis Magos Beach is well-equipped with several facilities to ensure a comfortable visit for all. These include sunshade rentals, outdoor parking, and a bar. There are also outdoor showers, public bathrooms, and dressing rooms for the convenience of beachgoers. However, visitors are advised to bring their own tissues as the bathrooms may occasionally run out of paper. Safety is a primary concern at the beach, with lifeguard patrols and a first aid area readily available. Additionally, there are two restaurants and a diving school located just behind the beach, adding to the variety of recreational activities that visitors can enjoy. Despite not being a sandy beach, Reis Magos Beach's safe swimming areas attract swimmers all year round, even during colder months such as January.
