Praia Santa

Praia Santa is a secluded beach known for its natural beauty and tranquility. It is never too crowded, providing a peaceful hideaway for beachgoers. The sea at Praia Santa can be tough with big waves, adding to its allure. The beach is characterized by its length and shallowness, which can vary based on the tides. At mid tide, there is some sand, but it may be less during high tide or when the wind is coming from the water. The beach is a 15-minute walk from Salema, making it easily accessible for those who don't mind a bit of a hike. The trail to the beach is rocky, but manageable even in flip flops. There is parking available a 10-minute walk from the beach. Once there, visitors can enjoy the clear, albeit cold, water and the shade provided by a beautiful rock overhang. There is also a small cave that offers shade, provided the tide is not too high. Praia Santa is also home to some lovely prehistoric rock formations and is guarded by a few crabs. Some visitors choose to swim without trunks, adding to the beach's secluded and relaxed atmosphere.
