Southsea Beach

Southsea Beach is a popular beach located in Portsmouth - Southsea. The beach is known for its unique natural characteristics, including the presence of pebbles and sand. Visitors can often find pretty shells between the rocks on the sand. Despite the water being cold, the beach is still a must-visit due to its proximity to various attractions. The beach is near many places of interest, including a playground, Canoe Lake, and Kidz Island, making it a fun destination for kids. The beach is also a nice place to hang out with family, especially on weekends. It is kid-friendly, with a park located opposite the beach for additional recreational activities. Parking at Southsea Beach is available, though it can be challenging to find a spot on sunny days. However, seaside parking is free after 18:00, and during regular hours, the cost is £2 for 1 hour. There are also numerous food and drink outlets on the pier for visitors to enjoy. Please note that South Parade, a nearby area, is undergoing extensive sea defense work for the next few years, which may affect visibility of the Isle of Wight and access to the common area. Despite these ongoing works, Southsea Beach remains a wonderful destination for both locals and tourists.
