Spiaggetta Porto Rais

Spiaggetta Porto Rais is a small beach located west of Palermo, a few hundred meters from the motorway exit for Falcone-Borsellino airport. It is characterized by its rocky terrain, making it less suitable for those with walking difficulties or for families with children unless they are proficient swimmers. The beach is not ideal for placing umbrellas due to its rocky nature, and visitors are advised to bring rubber shoes and deck chairs for comfort. Despite these challenges, the beach is known for its clean, clear waters, which are excellent for calm swimming. The sea is home to a variety of marine life, including octopuses, moray eels, and other fish, and is covered by posidonia algae in the center of the Golfetto. A notable feature of the beach is a pretty cove that can be reached by following a path to the right. The beach is generally not crowded, even on weekends, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful dip. Parking is conveniently available a few meters away on the adjacent street. However, it is worth noting that the beach has been affected by litter and abandoned waste.
