Spiaggia Stretta

Spiaggia Stretta is a small, picturesque beach located in the northern part of the municipality of Vieste, in the region of Puglia, Italy. The beach is situated within a bay and is nestled between two high rocky cliffs that create a sheltered environment. Spiaggia Stretta is especially known for its white sand dune that gently slopes towards the sea, and its clear, crystalline water that ranges in color from light blue to deep blue. The seabed is shallow and made up of fine sand, making it suitable for families with children.

The beach is surrounded by a beautiful pine forest and is characterized by a variety of Mediterranean vegetation, including pine trees, olive trees, and almond trees. Despite its beauty, the beach is not very busy, likely due to its challenging access, making it a perfect spot for relaxation.

Accessing Spiaggia Stretta can be a bit challenging. It is located approximately 2 km away from the city center of Vieste and can be reached by car via the provincial road Peschici-Vieste. There is a steep descent from the coastal road that leads directly to the beach. Although navigating this descent can be difficult, there is a handrail rope on site to assist visitors. Alternatively, there is another path that winds up among the plants which some may find easier.

Unfortunately, there are no amenities directly on the beach, and visitors are advised to bring their own necessities, including water. Moreover, parking can be a challenge as there is no designated parking area, and parking on the street is subject to fines. Some visitors have found parking available near the nearby Spiaggia Crovatico Piccola, from where Spiaggia Stretta is just a couple of minutes walk away.

Despite these challenges, the spectacular landscape and serene environment make Spiaggia Stretta a worthwhile destination. During the summer, it is a popular spot among tourists and locals alike. One unique feature of Spiaggia Stretta is that it allows visitors to bring pets.
