Torba Plajı is a small, serene beach located on the right side of the Bodrum peninsula, near a forest. Despite its size, often compared to a walnut, it is a popular spot among locals and can become quite crowded during peak times. The beach is characterized by calm, warm waters, a sandy seabed, and a gradual depth, making it suitable for families with children and swimming beginners. The natural beauty of the beach is accentuated by the shades of green from the nearby forest and the blue of the clear waters.
Adjacent to the beach, there is a natural bay, Torba Koyu, known for its clear waters and rocky shores. The beach and the bay are both free to enter, and there are sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent at private establishments.
In terms of amenities, Torba Plajı has a municipal establishment that provides affordable refreshments and snacks. There are also several shopping options in the vicinity. However, visitors should be aware of the presence of stray dogs in the area.
The beach also offers shower facilities for a small fee, but there have been instances of water shortages affecting the toilets. For those who prefer not to pay for sunbeds, there is a rocky and stony area opposite the hotels on the left side of the beach. This free area is shaded by trees, but it does not have shower or toilet facilities, and it is recommended to wear sea shoes for comfort.
Parking at Torba Plajı can be challenging due to limited space, largely because of the surrounding hotels. The roads leading to the beach are narrow but manageable.
To get to Torba Plajı, visitors can drive from the center of Bodrum in the direction of the airport. Alternatively, there is a public minibus service from the Bodrum center to the beach.
