Tuent Beach, known as Cala Tuent, is a secluded and serene beach located in Escorca, Mallorca, in Spain's Balearic Islands. This beach, known for its natural beauty and tranquil ambiance, is less frequented than most west coast beaches, providing a peaceful and relaxing experience for visitors.
The beach is situated in a unique setting, surrounded by stunning mountain views, including the breathtaking Serra de Tramuntana mountain range and the majestic peak of Puig Major. It stretches over an area of 55 meters in width and 180 meters in length, covered with dark sand, pebbles, and gravel. The sea at Tuent Beach is pristine and transparent, presenting shades of light green and blue depending on the season and weather.
Tuent Beach can be accessed by foot, car, or boat. The nearest road leading to the beach is Ma-2141. It is also accessible via a mountain hike from Mirador Ses Barques above Sóller, a variant of the GR221 Ruta de Pedra en Sec. Alternatively, a boat can be taken from Port de Sóller to Cala Tuent. Visitors are advised to prepare for any weather conditions and to bring good shoes and plenty of water for the hike.
The beach features an unguarded parking lot with less than 50 spaces. For a quieter experience and easier parking, it is recommended to arrive later in the day, around 5pm. Parking is also free after 7pm.
Despite its secluded location, Tuent Beach tends to attract a crowd during the high season. However, the beach maintains a peaceful ambiance and is a favorite spot for locals and tourists seeking a tranquil beach experience. The calm bay is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, although there are no water sports rentals available. Since there are no facilities such as eateries or snack bars on the beach, visitors are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks.
It's important to note that there's no lifeguard on duty at Tuent Beach and that access for disabled individuals is limited due to the absence of a paved walkway from the parking lot to the beach. In case of emergencies, the closest hospital is the Hospital Comarcal D'Inca.
